If there’s one seafood we could eat forever, it’s bangus. Who doesn’t love bangus? Filipinos love bangus so much it’s regarded as the national fish of the Philippines. Not only because it’s abundant and widely available in many provinces in the country but it’s also a healthy source of protein and Omega 3.
I didn’t think twice to accept a PR from Sarangani Bay because well, it’s bangus, and Sarangani Bay is the Philippines’ largest processor and exporter of premium quality bangus and other processed seafood products. Its reputation for consistently high quality packaged seafood products is well known overseas.
Fish steak. My father used Sarangani Bay’s Boneless Bangus Belly. Bones and scales are already removed. This saves my father a lot of time. This is similar to how bistek is prepared; lots of onions, soy sauce, and my father only used calamansi instead of lemon.
Tinapa. Sarangani Bay’s Boneless Milkfish Bangus. For this bangus, we only ate it as is and only partnered it with rice and egg. We just flaked the flesh, and discarded the skin, head and tail. The meat was tender and not dry at all. I like it!
Daing na Bangus. Sarangani Bay’s Boneless Milkfish Marinated is my favorite of all time. This one is perfect with fried rice and egg. It has a sour taste, but I wish their marinated milkfish is a little bit spicy.
Overall, we love them. Thumbs up for this brand. The whole family are curious and would love to try their other variants.
Sarangani Bay Prime Bangus is available nationwide in SM Supermarket, Waltermart, etc.
